Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Responsibilities
Assist the Director of Nursing in managing daily nursing operations and clinical services
Support the 24-hour oversight of nursing services within the facility
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations, policies, and procedures
Coordinate and monitor resident care plans in collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams
Provide leadership, coaching, and support to nursing personnel
Participate in admissions assessments and admission decisions as needed
Monitor quality measures, infection prevention efforts, and clinical outcomes
Assist with staff development, education, and performance management
Participate in management meetings to discuss resident care, census, staffing, and operational initiatives
Promote a culture of compassion, accountability, teamwork, and excellence
Serve as nursing leadership in the absence of the Director of Nursing
Qualifications
Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program
Minimum of 2 years of nursing supervisory or leadership experience
Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, or Healthcare Management experience preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and clinical assessment skills
Knowledge of state and federal nursing regulations
Ability to lead teams, solve problems, and drive quality outcomes
