School Registered Nurse | Lakewood, Washington

Exciting opportunities are now available for skilled nurses to support students in a dynamic school environment near Lakewood, WA for the upcoming academic year! Multiple full-time contract positions are open for RNs and LPNs to provide 1:1 care to K12 students, with assignments tailored to work with those requiring advanced medical support. Enjoy a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, working 32.537.5 hours weekly from September 2nd through June 4th.

Responsibilities include:

Delivering direct 1:1 nursing care to students with complex needs such as tracheostomy, ventilator, wheelchair, diabetic, seizure, and G-tube support
Administering medications and monitoring vital signs
Accompanying and supporting students on bus routes when necessary
Assisting with toileting and activities of daily living as needed
Maintaining thorough and accurate health records in accordance with district policies
Serving as an essential liaison between families, teaching staff, and other health professionals
Navigating your duties independently as no other on-site nursing supervision will be provided

Qualifications:

Active RN or LPN license in the state of Washington
Previous experience in pediatric, school, or acute care settings is highly desirable
Comfort and hands-on experience with trach, vent, or other complex medical support
Ability to respond calmly and swiftly during medical emergencies
Flexibility to travel within the district and adapt to varied caseloads and school sites
Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and compassionate care
