- UT Health Tyler is the flagship hospital of the system, serving hundreds of thousands annually. Specializing in advanced acute care medicine, our Midtown location boasts a Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, the region’s only EMCO program, and a Level III NICU. Our medical staff includes more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.
Responsibilities
- The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who uses the nursing process to provide and direct patient care for a group of patients for a designated time frame.
- The IR Registered Nurse assists the Radiologist with procedures performed in the IR Department.
- The patient population contains adults, geriatric and pediatric patients. Ionizing Radiation is utilized to perform these studies as well as other imaging modalities.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Completion of Associates Degree, Diploma, or Bachelor/Master of Science in Nursing
- Must maintain current Texas RN License
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
- ACLS
- PALS
Preferred Job Requirements:
- One-year critical care or procedural experience
