Youll provide essential 1:1 care for a high school male student who requires advanced nursing support, including trach and ventilator management, as well as assistance with a sip/puff wheelchair and urinary catheterization. Working two days per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7AM 2:30PM) during the school year, youll contribute meaningfully to a students independence while refining your clinical skills and expanding your professional repertoire alongside dedicated educators and caregivers.

Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois RN license
  • Prior school-based nursing experience required
  • Proven skills in tracheostomy care, catheterization, ventilator support, and patient lifting
  • Critical care experience strongly preferred
  • No LPNs; RN required
  • Must include up-to-date license/certification and resume with your application

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 nursing care for a quadriplegic high school student
  • Oversee and manage trach, ventilator, and urinary catheter
  • Support students independence via sip/puff wheelchair
