Registered Nurse School Setting - Lowell, MA

Bring your nursing expertise to an energetic, student-centered environment! We're looking for a compassionate, skilled nurse to support PreK-2nd grade students in a welcoming school setting. This full-time, onsite role begins August 17, 2026, and continues through June 18, 2027, supporting the health, wellness, and safety of young learners. As the campus nurse, you'll provide daily care, manage health plans, respond to emergencies, and collaborate closely with educators and staff.

If you are a licensed RN or LPN in Massachusetts with school-based experience, and you thrive working with early elementary students, this contract position could be a great fit. Candidates must have reliable transportation and be able to maintain the scheduled hours of 8 AM4 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Hold a valid Massachusetts RN or LPN license
  • Relevant experience in a school setting is required
  • Comfortable working with PreK-2nd grade children
  • Willingness to complete fingerprinting and CORI background check
  • Ability to work onsite for the full scheduled hours, without modifications
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Proficiency in managing minor illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions in a pediatric/elementary population
  • Strong communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and staff

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver compassionate daily nursing care to students
  • Manage and update student health records
  • Respond to health emergencies and administer medications/treatments
  • Implement individual health plans in collaboration with families and staff
