RN - Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at The Villa at Texarkana. As an RN at our facility, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents, while promoting a positive and supportive environment for our staff. This is a full-time position with opportunities for professional growth and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver nursing care to patients/residents requiring long-term or rehabilitative care

  • Assess, plan, and evaluate nursing care delivered to patients/residents

  • Implement patient/resident plans of care and evaluate the patient/resident response

  • Direct and supervise care given by other personnel

  • Provide input in the formulation and evaluation of standards of care

  • Maintain knowledge of necessary documentation requirements

  • Maintain knowledge of equipment setup, maintenance, and use

  • Maintain confidentiality and patient/resident rights regarding all patient/resident/personnel information

  • Provide patient/resident/family/caregiver education as directed

  • Conduct self in a professional manner in compliance with unit and facility policies

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient/resident condition and identify changes in physical or psychological status

  • Provide emotional support to patients/residents and families

  • Maintain patient/resident care supplies, equipment, and environment

Working Conditions:

  • Works in office areas as well as throughout the facility

  • Must be able to move about intermittently during working hours, including standing, lifting, bending, stooping, twisting, pushing, and pulling

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language

  • Must be able to relate and work with the disabled, ill, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times, hostile people within the facility
