The hospital also features a 24-hour emergency department, designated as a Level IV trauma center and acute stroke ready facility with advanced diagnostic technology, a cardiac rehabilitation program, GI lab, outpatient clinics and a sleep lab.

Responsibilities

  • The Clinical Exercise Specialist, RN is a valuable member of the Cardiopulmonary Rehab Team.
  • The CES provides inpatient and outpatient care to patients with Cardiovascular and /or pulmonary disease.
  • The CES will assess, plan, treat, and perform diagnostic testing on patients with cardiovascular/respiratory dysfunctions.
  • Patients’ development and implementation are the primary function of the CES consisting of patient education, rehabilitation, wellness program, health enhancement and Quality improvement.   

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved RN school
  • Current professional licensure in the State of Texas for RN 
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
  • ACLS certifications 

Preferred Job Requirements:

  
  • ACSM certification

The MDS Consultant will support quality care and fiscal responsibility through comprehensive MDS training and support services for assigned region. You will be responsible for the training and program review of MDS Services in accordance with Federal, State and Local laws and governing entity regulations. The ideal candidate must be well-trained and able to give the best nursing care possible with little supervision. They will educate patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits. The ideal candidate must be compassionate, cool-tempered, and capable of handling emergent situations. They must follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently. Responsibilities: RN (Registered Nurse) Complete daily electronic forms for each assigned patient within a secure Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System. Provide admission, case management, and follow-up skilled nursing visits for home infusion and infusion center patients. Administer ongoing care/infusions for each patient, and provide necessary follow-up as directed by the Physician and Clinical Manager. Confer with physicians and pharmacies to develop the initial treatment plan based on the physician's orders and the initial patient assessment. Provide hands-on care, management, and evaluation of the care plan and teaching of the patient under a physician based on ongoing assessments and as required by policy/regulation. Report patient care, conditions, and progress to the patient's physician, pharmacy, and Clinical Manager continuously.
