Curry Health Network is seeking an experienced Oncology Infusion RN to support the opening of its new Outpatient Oncology Infusion Center. This role will primarily focus on educating and mentoring a newly hired Oncology and Chemo Infusion RN while administering chemotherapy infusions as needed.

Position Highlights:

Relocation Assistance (based on eligibility) The Infusion Nurse’s primary function is as a patient/family educator which includes completing pre-hospital discharge infusion device teaching to patients and caregivers as well as assessing the readiness for discharge home with infusion. This position will mainly function within Duke University Hospital, but will on occasion make home visits to provide infusion instructions as part of Duke HomeCare and Hospice. Shifts: (5) 8 hour day shifts, 8:30 AM to 5 PM MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process for patients in accordance with the NC nurse practice act, physician orders and established policies and procedures. Uses professional nursing judgment to individualize the plan of care based on assessment of the patient’s baseline needs and response to care.
