A well-established Skilled Nursing Facility in East Central Illinois is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and oversee all nursing operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nursing leader who is passionate about quality resident care, clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and developing a strong nursing team.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee all nursing services and clinical operations.

  • Ensure high-quality, safe, and resident-centered care.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop nursing staff.

  • Manage staffing, scheduling, performance, and departmental operations.

  • Oversee clinical policies, procedures, quality assurance, and performance improvement programs.

  • Monitor clinical outcomes, infection prevention and control, and risk management.

  • Work collaboratively with physicians, residents and families, interdisciplinary team members, and facility leadership.

  • Prepare for and participate in IDPH and CMS surveys, inspections, audits, and compliance activities.

  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license, or ability to obtain one.

  • Required: Previous Director of Nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility.

  • Strong knowledge of IDPH regulations, CMS requirements, and long-term care standards.

  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage nursing staff and clinical operations.

  • Knowledge of quality assurance, infection prevention, survey readiness, and regulatory compliance.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced long-term care environment.
