Balmoral Nursing Home is seeking compassionate and dependable Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our nursing team. Our RNs play an essential role in providing quality, resident-centered care while providing clinical leadership and collaborating with CNAs, LPNs, physicians, nursing leadership, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Provide safe and appropriate nursing care to residents
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies
Perform nursing assessments and monitor resident conditions
Identify and promptly communicate significant changes in resident condition
Notify physicians and appropriate members of the care team regarding resident needs and changes
Develop, review, and update resident care plans
Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
Supervise and appropriately delegate responsibilities to LPNs and CNAs
Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff
Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and members of the interdisciplinary team
Collaborate with the Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, and other nursing leadership
Maintain resident dignity, privacy, safety, and quality of care
Follow facility policies, procedures, infection-control practices, and applicable regulatory requirements
Perform additional nursing duties as assigned

Qualifications

Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to supervise, delegate, and provide clinical leadership
Dependable, professional, and committed to resident-centered care
Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
Must meet applicable health and background requirements

Schedule

Available shifts include:

AM: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
PM: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
NOC: 12:00 AM – 8:30 AM
Rotating weekends and weekend availability may be required

Update the family/responsible party and attending physician for any changes on wound assessment. Assist in developing a written plan of care for each customer that identifies the problems/needs of the customer and be able to evaluate the delivery of care. Attends and actively participate in customer care plan conference. Consult with other nurses, management, and other related health professionals to assist in assessing, planning, and delivering and evaluating patient care. Plan, conduct and participate in In-service Education Programs, workshops, seminars, conferences, and courses. Make written and oral reports including recommendations concerning the wound care program. Ensure that the wound assessment and monthly summaries reflects that the care plan is being followed. Participate in the development, maintenance, and implementation of the facility’s Quality Assurance program for the Wound Care Program. Make daily rounds to assure that nursing personnel are performing required duties related to the wound care program, and to assure that wound care protocols and procedures are being followed.
