Key Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license with current credentials
  • Experience in school or pediatric nursing preferred
  • Comfortable and skilled with G-tube feeds, Hoyer lifts, and diapering multiple students
  • Proven ability to manage daily medications and respond effectively to seizures
  • Strong professional communication skills with both staff and families
  • Commitment to a team-based approach
  • Enthusiasm for working with students on the autism spectrum and those with significant medical disabilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to students with severe and complex needs
  • Implement individualized health care plans
  • Administer medications and tube feedings as prescribed
  • Assist with lifting, transferring, and personal hygiene needs using appropriate equipment and techniques
  • Monitor and respond to seizures and other medical emergencies
  • Document care accurately and maintain confidentiality
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure holistic student support
