American Traveler is hiring an experienced MICU RN for a 13-week assignment at a Level III Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years of continuous MICU experience and telemetry competency. Job details: - 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU within a Level III Trauma Center - Cares for adult patients with conditions including substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock - Attendings and residents present in the ICU 24 hours a day - RN to patient ratio of 1:2, or 1:1 for high acuity patients - Ratio becomes 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to Med/Surg units - Floating required, primarily to Medical/Surgical units - Day Rotate schedule with rotation between 7a-7p, 11a-11p, or 7p-7a shifts as needed - Night shift does not rotate - Every other weekend (EOW) required - 36 or 48 hour weekly schedules available - Uses EPIC EMR for charting Requirements: - Active Massachusetts RN license (no conditional licenses accepted) - AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required - 2+ years of continuous adult ICU experience, preferably in a MICU - Telemetry competency required, including ability to read telemetry strips - Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed Additional information: - Provide critical care nursing to a diverse adult ICU population - Facility is a 400+ bed complex community hospital with 220 Med/Surg beds in addition to ICU and Maternity units - Local candidates accepted, with permanent residence required to be more than 60 miles from Boston for standard travel rate
