We are looking for a RN/ Unit Manager to join our team. We're looking for a driven, caring, passionate individual to serve as a leader to our excellent nursing staff.

Responsibilities of the RN/ Unit Manager include:

Day-to-day supervision of personnel

Participate as requested in the interviewing and hiring of nursing personnel

Maintaining consistent practices

Effectively communicates performance expectations

Assigning specific duties for customers' care, work hours, breaks, and meal periods for nursing personnel on unit

Attend and participate in department meetings.

Requirements for RN Unit Manager position:

Must be a Registered Nurse RN in good standing and currently licensed by the state of Florida.

Must have clinical experience, education or specialty skills specific to geriatrics.

Must be able to relate positively and favorably to our customers and families and to work cooperatively with others.

Related experience at a level necessary to accomplish the job.

Prepares and administers medications in accordance with current practice (i.e. review physician orders, pre-op antibiotics, preparing/labeling medications on/off field, utilizing the 7 medication rights, identifying high alert medications, conducting independent double checks when indicated, and narcotic waste, etc.). Assures only licensed personnel administer medications. Relays appropriate hand off communication to RN Circulator to ensure continuity of care.
