North Star Behavioral Health is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our inpatient behavioral health team.

Qualifications

  • FNP or PA-C.
  • Alaska APRN license (or ability to obtain).
  • Board certified (ANCC, AANPCB, or NCCPA)
  • Inpatient, acute care, or behavioral/mental health experience preferred.

Overview JOB SPECIFICS Provide comprehensive gastroenterology care, including assessments, consults, admissions, discharges, and inpatient rounding. Partner with gastroenterologists to support a growing GI service line and increasing patient demand. Manage GI patients in the clinic, ensuring timely access, continuity of care, and follow-up. Collaborate with colorectal surgeons on GI-related office visits and endoscopic care. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with multidisciplinary providers. Prepare patients for GI procedures, manage post-procedure care, and coordinate transitions of care. Order and interpret diagnostic testing, prescribe medications, and maintain accurate documentation.
