Qualifications:

Current Illinois RN license (Registered Nurse)
Experience with diabetes management, especially in pediatric or school environments
Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
Able to work part-time, 15-20 hours per week, for the full school year
Previous school nursing or pediatric nursing experience is highly desirable

Responsibilities:

Oversee and implement diabetes care as outlined in student medical management plans
Administer insulin as prescribed and supervise glucose monitoring for students
Train and support designated staff in best practices for glucose management
Maintain accurate health records and communicate with parents and healthcare teams as needed
Provide general nursing support and health education to the school community
Respond promptly to student health issues and emergencies during school hours
