Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities Responsibilities of the home care aide include, but are not limited to, the following- · Execute the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer. · Help clients with their ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) that are within the scope of practice for a Registered Health Care Aide. · Assisting clients with personal hygiene such as skin, mouth, hair care, bathing and dressing. · Assisting clients in and out of bed, transfers, positioning and assisting with ambulation. · Assisting with prescribed exercises which clients and aides have been taught by appropriate health personnel. · Meal planning and preparation, including therapeutic diets, and assisting clients with eating. · Assisting clients to the bathroom or in using commodes, bedpans or urinals and incontinence care. · Performing household services including housekeeping, laundry, transportation, correspondence, making telephone calls, shopping for personal care items or groceries, and companionship. · Assisting clients with medications reminders which are ordinarily self-administered. · Reporting changes in the client's condition and needs to the administrator or care designer. · Completing records regarding services performed. · Driving to appointments or to run errands. · Accurately records all hours worked. · Remains alert throughout the shift in case client requires assistance, responds immediately to any such needs by providing the assistance required, or calling the Company for guidance. · Participating in all required entry-level and annual training requirements. · Maintaining an active home care aide registration with the State of Ca. Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) ED Flex provides nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process and standards of practice for a professional nurse at all Urgent Care and/or Emergency Departments at UF Health Jacksonville. The RN is expected to perform all staff nurse activities and function as charge nurse when assigned. The RN maintains overall accountability/responsibility for assigned patients, even though some activities/tasks may be delegated to Technical Nurses, Patient Care Associates, and/or Sitters. Assignments are performed appropriately to age and developmental level of patients being served. Qualifications Required Education:: Associate�s degree in Nursing. New hires effective June 14, 2017, must have a BSN degree from an accredited school of nursing within three (3) years of hire or transfer into the position. New hires or transfers into in the position between August 1, 2013 and June 13, 2017 must abide with the conditions in his or her offer letter and the verbiage in the job description signed upon hire or transfer into the position.
