Clinical duties include but are not limited to maintaining universal precautions; rooming patients, taking necessary vital signs and measurements, perform phlebotomy as needed, administering vaccines, performing treatments and procedures as ordered by the provider. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for answering practice education, counseling and performing various testing and screenings. The Medical Assistant will also be responsible for maintaining patients’ rooms, setting up and stocking, as appropriate as well as ordering and tracking supplies for the practice. Administrative responsibilities will include, without limitation, all generally accepted office responsibilities, making appointments, filing, answering phones, preparing correspondence, preparing patient charts, obtaining referrals and paperwork from referring physician offices. Compensation Pay Range: $23.30 - $33.30 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1 - Greets patients coming in for appointments in a professional manner and escorts them into patient exam rooms. 2 - Assist with varied procedures within the practice including both routine and non-routine (complex) procedures as directed and under the supervision of the MD, NP, or PA. Job Summary We are seeking a part-time, 25-hour Medical Assistant to join our Express Care team! Express Care, formally known as Urgent Care, offers timely treatment for non-emergency conditions. We care for adults and children ages 3 and up, addressing a wide range of issues such as respiratory illnesses, infections, minor injuries, rashes, and stomach problems. Because patients often visit when they’re feeling unwell, our team prioritizes compassion and emotional support alongside quality medical care. The schedule consists of working 2, 12.5-hour shifts per week (8:30am to 9:00pm), including every other weekend (both Saturday and Sunday). Since Express Care is a 7-day-per-week operation that delivers care during the day, evening, weekends, and holidays, the schedule for this role will require 2 on-call shifts per 4-week scheduling period, weekend, holiday coverage and the flexibility to work overtime as needed.
