Senior Medical Assistants/MA-C are MAs with over 2 years of experience (6 months in a PSJH clinic within the last 3 years). In addition to standard MA responsibilities like helping with administrative and clinical tasks, you’ll take on a leadership role and help guide clinic operations and counsel Associate Medical Assistants beginning their careers. After a year of service as a Senior Medical Assistant, and a MA-C designation, you’ll be eligible for a Lead MA promotion and additional leadership responsibilities. The MA III works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA III is capable of performing all aspects of the MA I and MA II roles. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum High School / GED Completion of a Medical Assistant Program OR 1 year of Medical Assistant OR 1 year in a direct patient care role, including vital signs.
