Summary Performs standard laboratory testing for a specialty surgical hospital in order to aid in the treatment of patients and improve patient outcomes. Work is performed with a considerable degree of independence in the application of clinical laboratory knowledge and techniques, and requires judgments in monitoring test procedures, quality control, and test interpretation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs laboratory testing with CLIA waived, moderate, and high complexity designations. Shows proficiency in venipuncture and finger sticks. Results out laboratory testing in a timely manner. Assists with interpretation of laboratory results when needed. Assists with laboratory inventory including ordering of supplies if needed.
