Prepare medication, bring medication to dining room during meal time, and assist residents with medication. If a resident requires afternoon or after dinner medication, the PCA shall assist the resident with medication from the med room. The PCA shall assist the resident by handing over the injectable medication to the resident. The resident shall self-administer medication in the presence of the PCA. The resident shall safely dispose of the remains of the injectable medication into the sharps container. PCA shall update medication administration record as needed, after Physician visits & ensure MAR & Dr. orders match PCA shall ensure that resident receives all necessary documents prior to doctor appointments. The CMT will ensure all medications are being stored, labeled, and administered properly with the highest level of safety and quality. A CMT works under the discretion of the delegating nurse. Knowledge of care plan and resident ADL's. Must be a team player, able to follow directions, be organized and detail oriented, familiar with computer. Must have current MD medication technician (CMT) license/certification.
