Provides safe transportation of patients from their rooms to various areas of the hospital. Ensures patient safety by verifying the patient identification band, chart and sending slip. 2. Assists patients to and from the stretcher. 3. Assists nursing personnel with patient positioning and patient skin preps. 4. Cleans and prepares surgical suite and disinfects stretchers in-between patients. 5. Supports the supply needs of the department by receiving supplies and restocking all areas. 6. Maintains the cleanliness of the surgical suite and cleans the operating rooms at the end of the day’s schedule. 7. Empties all trash containers, suction canister boxes, and replaces bags and boxes, periodically throughout the day. 8. Maintains attendant’s supply room with needed solutions for cleaning, maintenance of floors, polishing glass, and cleanliness of counters and walls. 9. Maintains inventory of wet vacuum hoses, floor tools, and brushes. 10. Mops the floor between surgical procedures. 11. Cleans patient pantry and dining area and empties trash. 12. Returns equipment to the storage room and keeps the room orderly. 13. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
