Managing acute and chronic conditions such as asthma, hypertension, and diabetes. Responding to medical emergencies, providing first aid, and ensuring timely transport to appropriate healthcare facilities. Educating patients on preventative care, healthy lifestyle choices, and substance abuse prevention. Understanding and adhering to correctional facility security protocols, while working closely with correctional officers and other healthcare professionals, to ensure the safety and well-being of patients. Maintaining accurate medical records, documenting treatment plans, and reporting any relevant information. Qualifications New grads are encouraged to apply! Experience / Requirements / Qualifications Holds a current, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse within the state of AL Must possess an active BLS CPR Certification (AHA preferred) Knowledge of nursing practice principles and techniques, occupational health and safety standards, infectious disease management, applicable health care laws, regulations, and procedures for direct health care services.
