Contributes to the evaluation of the plan of care by gathering, observing, recording and communicating patient responses to nursing interventions. Implements interventions that are assigned, ordered or prescribed by licensed practitioner or registered nurse. Qualifications Post-secondary education or equivalent training in a healthcare field or Associate’s degree in practical nursing is preferred. Must be a graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program or must have graduated from a school or college of nursing program leading to licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse. One year of related experience desired. Previous customer service experience in an office setting, preferably in a healthcare setting. Knowledge of registration procedures, extensive computer skills, and basic knowledge of system applications, billing systems, and third party payers is preferred. Medical terminology desired.
