Experience: One-year registered nursing experience or completion of either the Legacy Health RN Residency program or a nursing residency program that is equivalent in content, curriculum and duration. Additional clinical experience requirements may vary dependent upon the specific department in which the position is utilized. Skills: Demonstrated ability of positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians and the community. Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions. Licensure Current applicable state RN license required. BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association required. Pay Range USD $51.78 - USD $77.34 /Hr. How you make a difference The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in patient care by contributing to the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Working under the supervision of RN(s), the LPN provides direction and guidance in patient education and activities that align with their education and demonstrated competencies. Key Responsibilities Under RN supervision, assesses patients' physical, psychological, and social dimensions in both the Health Care Unit and housing units, contributing to individualized treatment planning and consulting with RNs and staff as needed. Implements treatment programs directed by Health Care Practitioners, administering medications, including IV therapy (if certified), and performing diagnostic tests according to established protocols and procedures. Collaborates in controlled substance counts at the beginning of each shift, adhering to safety techniques, procedures, and standard precautions while responding to codes or health emergencies within standard guidelines. Assists in medical or minor surgical procedures, implements nutrition and therapeutic diet plans, and documents nursing encounters using SOAP charting, ensuring effective communication with nursing staff, physicians, and other relevant personnel. Attends mandatory staff meetings and training sessions, demonstrating a commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to policies and procedures in providing high-quality patient care. Qualifications & Requirements Education Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Experience Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinic experience Licenses/Certifications Have and maintain current licensure as a Licensed Practical/Licensed Vocational Nurse within the state of employment. Responsibilities The primary purpose of the Operating Room Technician II position is to be under the direct supervision of the professional nurse. The OR Technician II performs various duties to assist with surgical procedures and related operating room activities. Qualifications & Requirements Education A graduate of an accredited school of nursing An advanced degree in an approved and accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Experience Prior medical/surgical and/or emergency/trauma experience and corrections experience is preferred. Must have the patience and tact to deal with the inmate patient population and ability to work effectively in the corrections environment. Scheduling flexibility is also required to be able to rotate hours and shifts, if needed, and to be called during emergency situations to provide coverage. How you make a difference The LVN Travel supports the delivery of patient care within assigned correctional healthcare settings as part of a traveling team. This role assists with assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care under the supervision of Registered Nurses. The position guides patient teaching and clinical activities based on demonstrated competencies and scope of practice. This role adapts to different clinical environments while supporting safe, compliant, and consistent care delivery. Key Responsibilities Assist with patient assessment, care planning, and implementation of individualized treatment programs under RN supervision. Administer medications, obtain diagnostic tests, and carry out medical plans according to practitioner orders and protocols. Provide clinical care and respond to health emergencies using established procedures, safety techniques, and standard precautions. Document nursing encounters and communicate patient information to healthcare providers and staff. Support daily clinical operations, including controlled substance counts and assisting with procedures as needed. Additional Details Travel LVN opportunities with Wellpath are primarily based in California, with current needs at sites such as Shasta, Placer, San Luis Obispo, and Fresno. Assignments can vary by location, but most shifts are 12-hour days or nights, with some 8-hour options and weekend rotations depending on the site. Candidates must hold an active California nursing license in good standing and have at least three years of nursing experience; correctional experience is preferred but not required. Overall, this role is best suited for nurses who are adaptable, team-oriented, and comfortable stepping into diverse correctional environments to support patient care where it’s needed most. How you make a difference The Nurse Practitioner provides on-site medical services by examining referred patients, conducting clinics, rounds, and responding to urgent and emergency situations. The role delivers ongoing medical care by diagnosing conditions, prescribing treatment plans, managing chronic care, and providing Medication Assisted Treatment services, including induction, follow-up, and medication management. The position documents care, orders and interprets labs, adheres to established policies and formularies, and supports continuity and standards of care within the facility. Key Responsibilities Examine patients, conduct sick call, chronic care clinics, and infirmary rounds, and respond to health emergencies. Diagnose conditions, prescribe and manage treatment plans, and provide ongoing medical and MAT-related care. Conduct MAT assessments, inductions, follow-up appointments, and manage medication continuation and titration. Order and interpret laboratory tests and drug screens and utilize appropriate in-house and referral resources. Document patient encounters, maintain confidentiality, and comply with established policies, procedures, and standards of care. Additional Details Ideal candidates will have strong experience in substance use disorder treatment, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), and chronic disease management, with the clinical judgment to independently assess, diagnose, prescribe, and manage patients in a correctional setting. They should be comfortable with CIWA/COWS assessments, MAT inductions and medication titration, ongoing SUD follow-up, lab and drug screen interpretation, and detailed clinical documentation. Experience with CalAIM, Medi-Cal, justice-involved populations, and coordinated reentry or continuity-of-care services is especially valuable. Candidates should also be adaptable enough to support general jail clinic needs, including sick call, chronic care, urgent/emergency care, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Qualifications & Requirements Education A graduate of an accredited school of nursing An advanced degree in an approved and accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Experience Prior medical/surgical and/or emergency/trauma experience and corrections experience is preferred. Must have the patience and tact to deal with the inmate population and ability to work effectively in the corrections environment. Scheduling flexibility is also required to be able to rotate hours and shifts, if needed, and to be called during emergency situations to provide coverage. Licenses/Certifications Must have and maintain current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner within the state of employment. Must have and maintain current CPR certification.
