Performs homemaking service including housekeeping, laundry, and shopping. Provides respite care. Performs wound care as directed by nurse. Completes charge sheets and visit documentation daily. Relays essential information from patient to aide supervisor. Back Up: Provides emotional support for terminal care patients and their families. Back Up: Participates in team meetings. Sets up and operates home medical equipment following specified parameters of treatment and maintains delivery logs. Educates patient and family on the safety and use of home medical equipment. Provides on call coverage for new set up/pickups and resolves equipment problems. Performs assessments to ensure home is safe for home medical equipment delivery, use, and enforces safety rules.
