Description MaineHealth Cancer Care is recruiting for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate to work at our MaineHealth Cancer Care in North Conway, NH. This practice includes a comprehensive array of services to support the care of cancer patients in an office/clinic. Work as part of a statewide oncology care program- the MaineHealth Cancer Care Network (MHCCN) is an integrated cancer care delivery network across the Southern, Coastal and Mountain regions of Maine and eastern New Hampshire. Designed to provide care as close to home as possible, the network is comprised of 11 hospital partners and provides comprehensive cancer care to more than 7,400 cancer patients annually. This position allows for a 4-day work week, working 10 hours each day. Call is required for this position, with an oncologist on call for back up. One year of Emergency experience strongly preferred BCLS – prior to providing independent care and maintained quarterly ACLS – within 90 days of hire CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 60 days of hire PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support – within 90 Days of hire TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course - within 12 Months of hire What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process Assesses the patient Plans the care of the patient Intervenes as appropriate Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care. Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
