Dialysis RN MAIN FUNCTION: The Dialysis RN is responsible for conducting inpatient hemodialysis treatments in coordination with the Dialysis Program Coordinator and nephrology. In this role, the individual will utilize policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective hemodialysis treatment as prescribed by the nephrologist. The Dialysis RN will communicate and report patient concerns, and changes with the clinical team, to include physicians and the Dialysis Program Coordinator, in a timely manner. The Dialysis RN is responsible for collaboration with the Staff RN through pre and post reporting to ensure safe and effective care. In addition, the Dialysis RN will provide appropriate patient education, care, and support for renal failure patients.
