The Cancer Care Service Line at Corewell Health is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Hematology and Medical Oncology program. Our patients and their families benefit from innovative, cutting-edge treatments and state-of-the-art programs and services. This casual (per diem) position will support our growing Hematology and Medical Oncology needs with an opportunity to see patients in the inpatient setting . This unit is the perfect place to gain experience as a new nurse and grow your career! The patient population on 4 West provides its employees the opportunity to learn about a variety of different conditions consisting of primarily hospitalist medicine patients with a wide variety of diagnosis, some of which include: pneumonia, sepsis, cellulitis, kidney failure, and hyperglycemia. In Butterworth hospital it is common to see high acuity patients which provides the opportunity to develop acute care skills such as patient assessments, IV/urinary catheter/NG tube placement, rapid decline in patient condition, Endotool, etc. 4 West is a well-established team that works collaboratively and functions exceptionally well. The Certified Medication Assistant (CMA) / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing high-quality resident care in alignment with the organization’s mission, values, and regulatory requirements.
