Formal Education Required Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN) required, BSN preferred Graduate of a program of professional nursing that is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) Current license to practice registered nursing in the State of Ohio Experience And Training Required PRN RN’s must have at least one-year recent experience in the area of practice. One year of related RN experience is required for weekend option positions. Additional related previous experience and/or preparation maybe required for specialty units. Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. Requires exposure to communicable disease, body fluids, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and other potentially hazardous conditions common to a clinical environment, such as risk of falls, strains, etc. Maintains current Basic Life Support certification; All nurses new to critical care, progressive care, medical telemetry, PACU, and ED must successfully complete Advanced Cardiac Life Support within the first six months and maintain current card. Experienced RNs hired into areas requiring ACLS are expected to have an ACLS certification upon hire or must be completed within six weeks of hire.
