Change dressings, apply bandages, remove sutures and other first aid procedures; use CPR skills, when necessary, all under physician supervision. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and conduct accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times. Provide health coaching to a defined group of patients to support healthy lifestyle choices; follows up with coached patients via weekly calls. Required Skills/Abilities: Must possess a high degree of emotional intelligence and integrity, driven and focused work ethic. Self-starter with the ability to think creatively and work effectively. Ability to work effectively with various seniorities and diverse populations including staff, providers, members, family members, insurance carriers, vendors and market leadership. Our team is at the forefront of obstetric care, performing advanced cases that are available at only a few centers worldwide. A PRN c aregiver in this position works 1 st and 3 rd shift | 7:00am—7:30pm or 7:00pm—7:30am| 12- hours shifts. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide direct nursing care. Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans. Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions. Administer prescribed medications and treatments. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs. Educate patients and their families. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Graduate from an accredited school of P rofessional N ursing (Diploma, ASN, BSN program) Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) C ertification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross ( must be presented upon hire) If in a Critical Care area an Advanced Cardiac Life Support ( ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification must be presented upon hire or within first year of employment One year of current acute care RN experience External applicants must have two years recent related nursing experience Internal applicants with less than two years’ experience but post orientation / 90 day probationary period could be considered with Chief Nursing Officer level review and approval Successfully pass all prescreen competency assessments required Will consider licensed military RN experience Physical Requirements: Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours. Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids. Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
