Job Overview Fairview has an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant to join our Mohs Dermatology Care team in Eden Prairie, MN This is a .9 FTE ( 72 hours per two week pay period), benefits-eligible opening. Clinic Hours of Operation are Monday–Thursday: 7:00AM–6:00PM and Friday: 7:00AM–5:00PM. NO WEEKENDS! This position is eligible for up to a $2,000 New Hire Sign On Bonus! This position will require 2 days at our Eden Prairie clinic and 2 days at our Bloomington clinic. This position performs daily sterile clinical procedures in accordance with established protocols, safety standards, and infection control guidelines.As a member of the care team, the Medical Assistant supports quality patient- and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high-level functions within a care team to support the needs of the healthcare team and patients/families. The Medical Assistant will gather information and documents to support the patient visit. The medical assistant is responsible for adhering to all policies, procedures and practice guidelines, promoting teamwork with all members of the health care team, maintaining complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow. Responsibilities Delivers care as delegated by the physician/authorized practitioner or RN, to assigned patient population, or individual patient. Follows the patient’s plan of care. Job Overview Fairview is looking for an upbeat and energetic Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department at Fairview Ridges Hospital located in Burnsville, MN. The hospital is just 20 minutes south of Minneapolis, MN near the 35E and 35 W conjunctions! It has been providing state-of-the art care and community services to the residents of the scenic Minnesota Valley since 1984. Our ED is a Level 3 Trauma Center. We have 45 beds and a yearly census of approximately 67,000 and growing! Team members include Board Certified Emergency Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, Registered Nurses, ER Techs, Health Unit Coordinators, transport, and Case Managers. Emergency Department Registered Nurses provide emergency nursing care for a diversified population of all age distributions (infant to geriatrics) and all problem types in a very lively Emergency Room. The Fairview Ridges ER processes 67,000 cases per year, with an average of 184 patients seen daily. The position duties include assessment, care planning, interventions, and instructing. New positions added due to volumes/growth. The patient population served by the Emergency Department consists of newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients requiring or seeking medical care. Twenty percent of our ED volume is pediatric. Schedule: This position is 60 hours per pay period, 12 hour day/evening shifts with every third weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). Orients patient and their family to the environment. Assures the patient’s belongings are accounted for, documented upon admission, transfer and discharge. What You’ll Do The RN – Clinic collaborates with providers to coordinate psychiatric services including medication refills for patients experiencing psychiatric/mental health disorders. Requires knowledge of nursing practices, which can be gained only through an accredited school of nursing. Oriented and educated in gender, cultural, and age appropriate care for the assigned clinic. Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Tracks and communicates pertinent medical and psychiatric information both verbally and through written documentation in EHR. Performs appropriate interventions as ordered by physician in an accurate and timely manner including needed testing such as lab draws, EKG, UDS, Genesight, and HcG testing. Documents results and provides safe handoffs to providers about the results.
