The Staff RN uses the nursing process to deliver nursing care to a given patient care population as it relates to the care setting. Reviews daily patient reports and assignments with Nursing Assistants upon the beginning of the assigned shift. • Assures that the unit area is maintained in a clean and safe manner for resident comfort and convenience. • Conducts daily resident rounds to assess and evaluate the resident’s physical, medical and emotional status and to implement or revise nursing interventions to the resident plan of care. • Records care information accurately, timely and concisely. Completes all required documentation including resident assessments, interventions, and patient response(s) in the medical record in accordance with policy. • Initiates, reviews, revises, and updates resident Plans of Care as indicated. Evaluates the patient’s progress toward specific goals and adjusts the nursing plan of care, as necessary. Assists with a gathering of information relative to the event. • Initiates emergency procedures (including basic CPR) and provide emergency patient treatments • Participates in the facility’s infection control program for monitoring communicable and/or infectious disease among residents and staff. • Participate in procedures for reporting hazardous conditions or equipment. • Assists in orientation of newly assigned personnel as requested. • Assumes Charge responsibility following orientation period as requested. • Performs other position-related duties as assigned. • Supervise CNAs SUPERVISION • Make resident rounds to ensure appropriate care is being rendered, identifying, and making corrections as necessary. • Meet with nursing personnel to assist in identifying and correcting problem areas and/or the improvement of resident care. • Assist the Charge Nurse in revision and distribution of nursing assignments as needed. • Assist in the supervision and direction of nursing personnel. • Participate in disciplinary action and evaluation of nursing personnel. Duties: Assist clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Support clients with mobility challenges and provide assistance with lifting when required Offer companionship, emotional support, and engage in meaningful interactions Ensure a clean and safe living environment for clients Assists in meeting nutritional needs by providing meal planning, preparation, and grocery shopping as needed Provide clients medication reminders Support clients on walks and/or light exercises Monitor and promptly report any changes in clients' conditions or behaviors Skills: Prior experience in caregiving, senior care, or related fields preferred (professional or personal) Experience working with individuals requiring specialized care (memory care, Parkinson's disease, cancer care, hospice, etc.) is a plus Compassion and empathy towards others Proficient verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently while following instructions accurately Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail Capacity to adapt calmly and effectively to changing situations Requirements: Home Care Aide (HCA) Registration with the State of California (Or ability to obtain) Proof of LiveScan Fingerprint (or ability to obtain) Proof of current TB testing (Or ability to obtain) Clear a criminal background check (National and required by state & county) Clear Guardian Professional and Personal Reference Check Must be physically able to perform the functions of this position Have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and proof of sufficient automobile insurance (when applicable) Benefits: Competitive pay ($23/hr+) Lots of opportunities to earn bonuses: Loyalty Bonus Program, Perfect Attendance Bonus Program, Referral Bonus Program (and more!)
