The APN will work with behavioral health clients with co-morbidities of trauma and/or substance abuse use disorders. Ramapo Ridge Behavioral Health Hospital and Haven are newly renovated state-of-the-art behavioral health care settings. They are bright, cheerful and filled with positive affirmations and evidenced based innovative therapeutic offerings. Demonstrates an understanding of, and embraces, the mission statement of the Christian Health. Schedule: Monday - Friday. Minimum of one weekend per month on-call required. Education : Must be a graduate of an accredited MSN program. Licensure: Current valid New Jersey APN and RN licensure required. Experience: Board certified in psychiatry preferred. Will consider previous experience as a APN board certified in addiction and/or trauma. Previous experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse in any area of specialty required. While we admit patients who are voluntary and involuntary, we are not licensed to admit patients who require Short Term Care Facility (STCF) beds. Generally, these patients require a more intensive and secure environment for safety. About Haven: Haven at Ramapo Ridge provides inpatient trauma-informed care and services in a safe and secure setting for women only. Located within Ramapo Ridge Behavioral Health. Haven is the first of its kind in Bergen County and the only inpatient women’s program in New Jersey. Follows the plan of care in handheld PDA assigned residents. Provides timely and accurate documentation. Helps to improve or maintain resident’s level of functioning and health status through proactive and timely assistance with bowel and bladder functions. Recording intake and output, ambulation, transfer, range of motion, use of assistive devices/splints. Appropriate use of restraints, per policy. Provides comfort to resident throughout the day with a focus on resident preferences, including regular repositioning in bed or chair, changes of clothes or bedding when soiled or wet and pain management through key times rounding and answering call bells within standard time. Checks and documents proper functioning and use of specialty mattress. Assures nurse call bell is always within reach and call bells are answered promptly. Observes and reports all unusual changes, occurrences, including physical or emotional status, functioning, behavior; including falls, skin breakdown, pressure wounds, complaints, grievances and clinical needs. Reviews and updates Personal Care Records. Supports the resident and family during transitionsof admission, transfer or discharge including orientation and welcome to unit/room, packing/unpacking of personal belongings. (ESSENTIAL; DAILY) Encourages and assists resident in participation of activities and social programs, i.e.: parties, church services, outdoor programs, snoezlen. Regularly uses resident activity boxes. Offers timely and regular transport to activities. Demonstrates consistent reliability/dependability through attendance and punctuality.
