Position Summary: Provides high quality nursing care for assigned patients in a scientific and humanistic focus. The Newly Licensed Registered Nurse (NLRN) utilizes a holistic systems approach to protect and promote client wellness and safety in the physiological, psychological, social cultural, developmental and spiritual domains. Nursing interventions are interdisciplinary, age specific and are directed toward optimal wellness. The NLRN is a nurse who is in their first year of nursing practice. MAIN FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Unit Director, is responsible for meeting qualifications and maintaining the performance standards of the Arnot Health and the Surgical Department, provide documentation of educational classes, CPR, certification (if applicable), and participation in Performance Improvement programs. MAIN FUNCTION: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing pulmonary practice. Position Details: The Virtual Critical Care Registered Nurse works from the Pulse Center, located in Big Flats NY, to enable the care of critically ill patients in ICU beds across the Guthrie system. This position provides virtual support to bedside nurses and is an excellent opportunity for experienced nurses to use their critical care skills without the physical demand of a traditional ICU setting. Position Summary The Virtual Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care for patients in a critical care environment utilizing telecommunication technology. Collaborates with the bedside nurse to provide coordinated, safe, compassionate, therapeutic, evidence-based quality care to patients and families, based on individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and appropriate care strategies throughout the lifespan. Practices in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act in the state of employment, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the ANA scope and standards of practice.
