Centralus Health System Senior Director of Nursing Finance/Budget Summary: Centralus Health System Senior Director of Nursing Finance and Budget reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officers of Arnot Health System and Cayuga Health System to direct and oversee financial performance and productivity for Patient Care Service Leadership. The role integrates clinical operations, informatics, technology, and financial systems to identify, collect, process, analyze and manage data and information to drive administrative practice, improve efficiency and enhance productivity in order to improve financial and operational performance. The role requires a complete understanding of factors influencing clinical operations in a health care system, as well as having the subsequent ability to improve service value and financial performance across nursing throughout the system. Roles and Responsibilities: (Tasks) Communication & relationship management Communicates effectively through appropriate channels among all levels of the organization to advance fiscal integrity as a liaison between information services, finance and clinical departments, resolving issues regarding the selection and implementation or modification of computerized managerial systems. Required Skills and Experience: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred A Master's degree required (MSN, MBA, MHA, or leadership focused) RN License in the State of New York, preferred 8-10 years of acute care hospital experience as a Registered Nurse preferred Minimum of 5 years of hospital leadership experience as a director with strong financial skills Proven experience in leading financial improvement projects within nursing and patient care services division Preferred Skills and Experience: Certification in nursing leadership preferred Physical Requirements: Repetitive use of hands and fingers (e.g., Use of computer keyboard); may require lifting and carrying light loads (up to 40 pounds), including boxes, equipment, IV solutions and stooping and kneeling (e.g., to pick up items from the floor, to remove and replace items on lower shelves and to file documents in lower file drawers); sitting, walking, or standing for long periods of time may be necessary; must be able physically to operate the equipment used for the job.
