Communications • Attends all regular staff meetings and required training sessions. • Addresses any concerns or grievances shared by residents and families. • Effectively communicates information pertaining to the residents on a “need to know” basis to other team members according to the residence policies and procedures. • Notifies licensed nurse/supervisor or the clinical director if you observe a change in a resident’s condition. • Accountable for compliance, excellence and delivery of resident care in adherence with organization, local, state and federal regulations. • Maintains a positive and professional manner toward residents, visitors, families and co-workers. • Adheres to all policies and procedures of Ohio Living. Qualifications Education • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Current unencumbered certification for the state of Ohio to practice as a Certified Medication Aide required. • CPR Certification preferred. Experience • One year experience in assisted living or other human services field preferred. • Supervisory experience in a healthcare or service industry preferred. • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred. Other Requirements • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Physical Job Requirements To fulfill job requirements, employee must be able to perform key physical task for extended periods of time. When supporting, lifting or transferring residents, proper body mechanics and safety measures as prescribed by the residence must be used. In a typical eight- hour day, employee will: • Stand/walk up to 8 hours a day • Sit up to 2 hours a day • Frequently support up to 70 pounds • Occasionally lift/carry up to 50 pounds • Frequently kneel, bend, and reach
