The Labor & Delivery Internship Program is a 13-week didactic and preceptor training that prepares the RN to work in the nursing specialty of Obstetrics. The didactic portion includes High Risk Obstetrics, Antepartum Care, Delivery, Post-Partum and Care of the Newborn. Labor and Delivery Internship Program starts December 7, 2026 Qualifications Educational Requirements: BSN required License/Certification/Registration Requirements: Valid California Registered Nurse License required American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS required ACLS will be obtained during the internship program Experience: 1 year recent acute care RN experience required Must commit to working in L&D for at least 18 months after the training.
