Summary Under the direction of the Administrative Director, Cardiovascular Services, the Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and the Cath Lab Nurse Manager, the Cath Lab RN will perform duties necessary to care for patients, ages 18 years and up, undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures at a technical and professional nursing level. The RN will provide pre, intra and post procedural care. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment. Operates diagnostic imaging equipment and aids the Physician to produce contrast enhanced radiographs of heart and cardiovascular system (angiograms) during cardiac catheterization and electro physiology procedures and assists with the implanting of pacemaker and internal defibrillator devices. Education Graduate from a state accredited school of Nursing. Bachelor's in Nursing preferred. Certification, Registration & Licensure Certification required: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or equivalent course credentialed by American Heart Association. Registration required to obtain: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) within 2 years from date of hire and renewed as required. License required: Licensed Registered Nurse in State of NH Experience One year cardiovascular experience preferred. Responsibilities Gathers data through history taking and physical assessment and interprets data in order to plan, implement and evaluate interventions to meet patient care needs. We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented LNA to join our Pre Surgical Testing team. In this role, you will work with nurses and providers to support patients throughout the pre surgical testing process. In this per diem position, we are looking for someone who has availability Monday-Friday 7a-5p, at least one shift per week, 9 hour shifts. You will also be trained to draw labs on our patients at one of our outpatient lab facilities and have that training supported and reinforced in the department during orientation. Summary Under the direction of the Administrative Director, Cardiovascular Services, the Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and the Cath Lab Nurse Manager, the Cath Lab RN will perform duties necessary to care for patients, ages 18 years and up, undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures at a technical and professional nursing level. The RN will provide pre, intra and post procedural care. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment. Operates diagnostic imaging equipment and aids the Physician to produce contrast enhanced radiographs of heart and cardiovascular system (angiograms) during cardiac catheterization and electro physiology procedures and assists with the implanting of pacemaker and internal defibrillator devices. Education Graduate from a state accredited school of Nursing. Bachelor's in Nursing preferred. Certification, Registration & Licensure New Hampshire RN licensure and American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS required. Experience One year cardiovascular experience preferred. It is a 12-bed unit with private rooms incorporating aspects from our Intensive Care Unit that improve nursing satisfaction such as: ceiling lifts to assist with safe patient movement and supply carts in every room to streamline care. The unit will have substantial telemetry monitoring and a medication room to promote safe patient care. About the Job: The Resource Nurse directly oversees and serves as an immediate, first line clinical resource to staff on a designated unit and shift. The Resource Nurse demonstrates well developed clinical competencies appropriate to specialty area when providing direct patient care or guiding other staff. Functions as an integral member of the unit’s management team and works to ensure smooth real time operations of unit on assigned shift and adheres to values under the EHS Professional Practice Model which guide all dimensions of practice.
