Participates as a member of the MDG Rapid Response Team for emergency situations (within the scope of practice). • Performs support duties for complex diagnostic tests and/or specialized practices or procedures, which include preparing the patient, assisting in the diagnostic examination, preparing, and handling specialized instruments or other specialized equipment, and monitoring the patient’s condition before, during, and following the procedure. • Ensures all equipment is properly assembled, operates, cleaned, and stored at the end of each work shift. Ensures preventive maintenance and routine cleaning are performed as directed. • Performs medical records reviews and applies appropriate protocols and guidelines to determine medical needs. • Maintains required certifications and completes required MDG training and yearly CEUs. Maintains BLS certification. • Performs other duties within the LPN scope of care and MDG policies and procedures. Performs Clinic Staff Support Protocols (CSSPs), walk-in patients per clinic protocols. • Orients peers and ancillary personnel to unit policies and procedures, skills, and standards of practice. • Integrates healthy work environment principles that result in improved patient healthcare delivery, education of patients and their families and employee satisfaction. • Performs other duties as required, to include assisting with Pediatric patients and patients in the Women’s Health Clinic. • Maintains professionalism at all times, reports to work on time, and completes assigned tasks in a complete and timely manner.
