Job Summary : The Nurse Practitioner-Endocrinology provides advanced clinical care to patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders under the collaborative supervision of a physician. The APRN evaluates, diagnoses, and manages the acute and chronic conditions of diabetes and thyroid disorders in collaboration with sponsoring physicians for Hendricks Regional Health. The role emphasizes patient education, chronic disease management, and interdisciplinary collaboration to improve outcomes. The role also involves assisting in the supervision and communication with staff assigned. Case manages individuals diagnosed with or suspected of having TB or latent TB infection. Provides care coordination, case management, referral, and follow-up care to individuals and families who are members of a vulnerable population and/or high-risk groups. Collaborates with MCPHD departments, resettlement agencies, Indiana State Department of health (ISDH), and other community agencies to provide necessary services. Performs appropriate diagnostic procedures, treatment regimens, and administers injections, administers vaccinations, and medications according to physician orders and/or MCPHD protocols and policies. Midwest Specialty Surgery Center is a free-standing orthopedic outpatient surgery center located on the southwest side of Indianapolis. Midwest specializes in total joint replacement of the hip, knee, and shoulder as well as general orthopedic surgery. We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team that would work with patients after orthopedic surgery prior to discharge. The ideal candidate for this position will be a highly motivated, fast-learning professional who is able to multi-task effectively and maintain a good attitude and patience. _ A typical day would include caring for 3-4 post-op patients per shift. Primary duties would be education for patient and family prior to discharge as well as assessing that patient is safe to discharge home. You will not take call. You will not work weekends or holidays. Hours may vary from time to time, based on patient needs for the day. Typically, hours are 8-6:30pm.
