Job Overview Fairview is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Perianesthesia team at our Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN! Our Perianesthesia nursing staff provides quality and compassionate care for patients before and after same-day surgery/procedure as well as surgeries that occur before and during admission to the hospital. We provide emotional & educational support with preoperative phone calls, during their stay with us and post-operative follow-up phone calls. Our team of nurses and techs/nursing assistants work closely with multiple disciplines to provide a patient and family centered experience. With our strategic location just south of the Minnesota River, Ridges Hospital promotes the health of our surrounding communities and continues to experience growth! About Fairview Ridges: At Ridges Hospital we perform approximately 8,000 surgical cases per year in our 12 OR rooms using the latest in technology. Perianesthesia supports 12 PACU bays and 18 Pre/post op Bays. OR specialty areas including: Spine, Ortho, OB-GYN, General, ENT, and Urology. Proactive pre-admitting department that prepares Pediatrics-Adult patients in advance of their visit and collaborates closely with Anesthesia. Child Life is available on site to work with pediatric patient. Procedures range from out-patient to surgical admissions, and include pediatric to geriatric patient population Schedule: This Perianesthesia nursing position will be working 56 hours every two weeks on the rotating day/evenings, 8 hour shifts(start times are staggered between 5:30am and the last 8 hour shift start time is 2:00 pm). Schedule requires call shifts during the week (1 night/month), weekend call (every 4th weekend) and holiday call rotation. 30 minute call in time. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. Job Overview Fairview is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for our ICU - Cardiovascular Department at our M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center - East Bank location in Minneapolis, MN. We care for patients who have had coronary artery bypass, valve replacement and transcatheter aortic valve replacement, aortic arch repair and heart and lung transplant.
