About this Job: General Summary of Position Coordinates the operations of the MHVI Arrhythmia Device Clinic at a local and regional level. Supervises clinical support staff. Coordinates and assists in departmental daily operations and the delivery of treatment. Develops protocols standards of practice and educational programs for patients and staff. Manages and maintains device database Primary Duties and Responsibilities Oversees and directs activities of assigned personnel. Develops and maintains standards of care for patients with Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices (CIED). Updates maintains and manages patient device database using current and appropriate software. Evaluates patients' complaints and symptoms and consults physicians for appropriate intervention when situation is warranted Coordinates patient throughput within the Device Clinic. Oversees patient billing scheduling and report generation for pacemaker / defibrillator clinic in a timely manner. Determines best billing practices for the device clinic. Plans conducts implements and reviews educational programs for staff patients and family members regarding function and monitoring of CIED. for. Monitors device performance and safety guidelines.
