The Medical Assistant (MA) performs clinical and administrative duties under the direct supervision of a licensed practitioner and within the scope of practice established by California law, organizational policies, and delegated clinical responsibilities. The MA supports safe, efficient, and patient-centered care by assisting with patient intake, clinical procedures, specimen collection, point-of-care testing, medication and immunization administration (when delegated and authorized), documentation, care coordination, and other assigned clinical support functions.
