A Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center ARNP/PA-C is a certified Physician Assistant or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner who provides evaluation and medical management for Hematology and Hematologic Malignancy patients following bone marrow transplantation, specializing in the management of graft-versus-host disease and other post-transplant complications. This role offers the opportunity to care for a unique patient population facing health and life challenges, combining comprehensive primary care responsibilities with highly sub-specialized, complex care. The ARNP/PA-C follows patients, provides supportive medical care, and conducts surveillance after treatment completion while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and optimize patient care. There are also opportunities to participate in clinical research studies. All clinical responsibilities are performed within the scope of practice, institutional privileges, and under the supervision of an attending physician. Job Summary Responsible for assisting the RN in various duties to ensure smooth patient flow in the all peri-anesthesia areas. Performs tasks involving direct and indirect patient care, treatment, transportation, and various clerical tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Primary Duties Performs patient care procedures in compliance with EvergreenHealth’s policies, protocols and procedures and within the scope of CNA (certified nursing assistant) license. Assists in the pre-operative and post-operative care activities under the direction of the RN.
