Overview Manages patient assignments and flow within clinic. Provides oversight of patient care to support patient and staff needs. Assists in covering all regular and off shifts to include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Responsibilities Assigns staff to patients per current clinic workload. Considers acuity, staff experience and competency, learning needs and patient acuity/complexity when considering assignments. Participates in performance management of staff members to include coaching, preparation of performance evaluations, and the performance management process. Initiates disciplinary action as appropriate. Addresses conflicts as they may arise. Assists/mediates to maintain smooth operations of the clinic. Performs service recovery to promote patient and employee retention. Facilitate orientation and training for employees. Serves as liaison with other persons/departments/clinics concerning services offered by the office. Performs other duties as required or assigned. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required. BSN preferred. 2 years of related supervisory/management experience. Must obtain and maintain clinical competencies as appropriate. Excellent written, verbal and computer skills required. Demonstrated abilities with problem solving, leadership, communication, fiscal responsibility and teamwork. Ability to work effectively in groups of employees and with patients and patient families is essential. Required Licensure/Certifications Licensed Registered Nurse with New Hampshire eligibility. Reviews patient’s charts to ensure all necessary information is obtained prior to patient visit. Obtains an updated medication list for all follow-up patients. Coordinates needed services/referrals for follow up patients. Tracks patients missed appointments, and notification to patient to reschedule and sending a certified notice for repeated missed appointments, per protocol. Assists physicians with patient physical exams/procedures/preparation of needed equipment. Ensures all exam rooms are adequately stocked and cleaned. Checking for and replacement of any expired items. Responsible for lined inventory and distribution within the department. Coordinates weekly treatment visits for physicians and RNs. Orders all departmental needed clinical supplies in the Lawson system. Tracks supply of bulk stores and MDS items and makes recommendations to adjust par levels. Telesitter Maintains constant visual observation of the patients receiving remote visual monitoring. Participates in the hand-off, during shift change or when admitting new patients to the system, of pertinent information/behavior about patients being monitored. Ensures another telesitter in place before leaving monitoring station. Verbally redirects patients when necessary.
