Overview Overview: The Advanced Practice Provider, Oncology (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) is an integral member of the oncology care team, responsible for providing comprehensive and compassionate care to a diverse patient population. The APP performs assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management of patients with cancer and related conditions, in collaboration with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team. This position includes a night shift differential of $4.00/hr and a 40% premium for all hours worked during the defined weekend. Overview POSITION SUMMARY: Protects, promotes, and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure, collaborating with Providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices and maintains professional disposition at all times. Will be scheduled and required to work 11 out of every 12 weekends. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital.
