Job Summary The Clinical Practice Manager/Clinical Nurse Specialist (CPM/CNS) demonstrates excellence in clinical nursing by serving as a professional role model, expert consultant, educator, and resource in managing and developing clinical nursing practice. In collaboration with the nursing director/manager and nursing staff, assesses, plans, designs, organizes, implements and evaluates the professional development and educational activities to address identified or anticipated needs of learners. Leads and collaborates with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to partner for practice transitions, improve the quality, safety, and outcomes of patient care. Analyze clinical and non-clinical variables to influence, supervise, manage or oversee patient care needs, and predict and manage responses and resources. Clinical Nurse Specialist preferred. Must have and maintain current licensure in the State of Rhode Island. A minimum of five to seven years demonstrated progressive nursing leadership or education roles required. Must have and maintain credentials required for clinical area, which may include ACLS, BLS, and NRP. (If, NRP is required for clinical area, must obtain instructor status within the first year of employment). Certification in specialty area is required or must be achieved within the first year of employment. Membership in professional nursing organization required or must be achieved within the first year of employment. Excellent human relations, verbal, and written communication skills required. Job Summary The Nurse Navigator functions on the multidisciplinary team as an advocate, interpreter, educator, and counselor for orthopedic surgical patients. Job Summary Under the direction of the Hyperbaric Supervisor provides direct care to Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy patients as prescribed by the (Medical) Director Wound Recovery Center or attending Hyperbaric physician operates and maintains the HBOT chambers and associated systems and equipment and evaluates the care for clients according to age-specific criteria. The RN works within the State Practice Act and follows all Hyperbaric Medicine Wound Recovery Center and Kent Hospital policies and procedures. Duties & Responsibilities Operates maintains and ensures the safety of the hyperbaric facility and all associated systems and equipment prepares the chamber equipment and materials needed for patients undergoing HBOT. Carries out protocols of treatment as prescribed under physician’s direction observes patients and system during course of HBOT documents patient condition and reports unusual occurrences to HBO supervisor and Medical Director (physician on duty.) Maintains operating maintenance and safety logs and other required documentation performs preventive and other required maintenance (except yearly/biannual factory service) on the chamber/system as needed. Is responsible for cleanliness of equipment per policy assists/maintains a neat orderly work area appropriate inventory of supplies. Demonstrates competence in patient and family education including the purpose and procedure of HBOT.
