Under general supervision, assumes accountability to plan and provide direct professional nursing care for specified patients during his or her assigned shift as defined by population and unit. Provides nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the standards of practice of a professional nurse, CCMC policies & procedures, Joint Commission, and State & federal regulations. Serves as trauma nurse responder when assigned. Becomes an active participant in patient/family prevention education and in patient and community healthcare provider follow-up.
