Responsibilities Manages the health care of patient populations with compassion in specialty services such as Cardiology, Vascular Surgery, Orthopedics and Post-Acute in the hospital, skilled nursing and clinic settings where procedures, prescriptive services, rounding and call obligations are expected. Maintains and exhibits knowledge of specialty-specific pathophysiology, hospital protocols, regulatory requirements, and communication skills to support patient education under the general medical direction of the collaborating physician. Develops treatment plans, treats patients with acute problems including illnesses and injuries under the general medical direction of the collaborating physician. Responsible for hospital patient rounding and being on-call for inpatient services, ambulatory follow-up, and medical management of patients.
