Work Experience MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Associate’s degree in Nursing (ASN) or Nursing Diploma. Work Experience: Meets unit specific care requirements; new graduates taken under consideration based on the needs of the unit. Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Florida or endorsement. Certification: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintained. Additional certifications to meet unit specific care requirements (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP, NIHSS). Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Implement and maintain sterile and safety standards to protect patients and support high-quality surgical care. Monitor patient responses to treatments and interventions to identify risks early and support safe surgical outcomes. Manage patient comfort and address concerns proactively by assessing pain, anxiety, and readiness for procedures. Anticipate patient and procedural needs by collaborating with surgeons and anesthesia teams to ensure efficient, well-coordinated surgical care. What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire. What additional preferences we're seeking Minimum 2 years of surgical services experience, with a strong familiarity across diverse surgical procedures. Excellent clinical education and patient engagement capabilities.
